Excursion Description
Journey to the glowing emerald-turquoise lagoon of Humantay, resting peacefully beneath the massive glacier of Mt. Humantay. An essential acclimatization hike for high-altitude trekking.
Depart Cusco early for Mollepata. Enjoy a warm breakfast, then continue to Soraypampa. Begin the 1.5-hour hike up to Humantay Lake (4,200m). Admire the breathtaking glacier reflection, take photos, and listen to the guide decode local mountain deities (Apus). Return to Soraypampa for lunch, then transfer back to Cusco.
